DAKS in motion :: scarver
Creative Direction
Production
The Daks Scarver Fabric Film explores material, rhythm, and process within a factory environment in Scotland. Developed in collaboration with Sam Palmer, the film observes how Daks fabrics are produced, transforming industrial production into a visual language shaped by pattern and repetition.
Inside the factory, threads, fibres, and machinery move in continuous cycles, creating a rhythm that feels both mechanical and organic. Close-up compositions isolate textures and details, shifting between abstraction and realism.
Rather than following a traditional narrative, the film approaches craftsmanship as a graphic and cinematic study. The result is a precise and expressive exploration of fabric, movement, and making.
